YVEI aims to earn and maintain trust through accurate communication, responsible stewardship, appropriate oversight and meaningful accountability to the children, young people, communities, donors, volunteers and partners connected with its work.
1. Our commitment
YVEI should communicate its purpose, activities and results clearly, distinguish verified information from goals, correct material errors, and avoid claims that could mislead supporters or communities.
2. Governance and responsibility
Organizational leaders are responsible for appropriate oversight, lawful decision-making, management of risk and compliance with adopted policies. Responsibilities should be documented and conflicts of interest disclosed and managed.
3. Financial stewardship
Funds and resources should be used for authorized purposes, supported by appropriate records and subject to proportionate review and controls. Restricted support should be handled consistently with the agreed purpose.
4. Impact information
Public impact statistics should use verified data, clear labels and relevant reporting context. Presence or coordination networks must not be presented as implemented projects, and estimates should be identified appropriately.
5. Donor and partner accountability
YVEI should provide accurate information about ways to support its work, respect donor privacy, manage partnership commitments responsibly and address reasonable questions about the use of support.
6. Safeguarding accountability
Transparency does not require publishing confidential safeguarding or personal information. YVEI should prioritize safety, lawful reporting and the privacy of affected people while remaining accountable for how concerns are handled.
7. Feedback and concerns
Questions, corrections or concerns about YVEI’s public information or conduct may be sent to yveinitiative@gmail.com. Reports should be reviewed fairly, directed to the appropriate responsible person and protected from improper retaliation.
8. Continuous improvement
YVEI should review its policies, public information and accountability practices as its programmes, partnerships and geographic presence develop.
