Why We Exist
A continent of potential. A generation that deserves more.
Across Africa, millions of children and young people continue to face barriers to quality education, equal opportunities, and meaningful participation in shaping their futures. Underserved communities are often disproportionately affected by poverty, inequality, limited access to learning resources, and social exclusion.
Young Voices Empowerment Initiative exists to change that. We work alongside communities to expand educational opportunities, empower women and girls, develop young leaders, strengthen peaceful communities, and create sustainable pathways for long-term impact.

Originally founded as Yes! We're the Future Leaders Foundation (YWTFL) and rebranded in 2022 to Young Voices Empowerment Initiative for Youth and Children (YVEI), we are a Pan-African nonprofit registered under the Corporate Affairs Commission, Nigeria — committed to dismantling the barriers that keep rural children and youth from education, opportunity and protection.
